Saudi Government allocates SR3 Billion for e-Governance project

Recently, the Council of Ministers has allocated SR3 billion for implementing e-Governance project in Saudi Arabia.

 

The aim of the project is to bring 150 government services with 1,000 subsidiary services offered by 40 government departments under an e-Government system. According to IBM vice president of value creation and government team leader of North Europe, Piero Corsini, significance of the e-Governance system is all around in UK. Authorities of Saudi Arabia are giving special priority for the implementation of e-Governance project. Such system would raise the productivity and efficiency of the private sector and provide better services to the business community. IBM has already offered e-Governance project is various countries including, Canada, Britain and China.
