UK Police uses IT to stop wildlife crime

The National Wildlife Crime Unit (NWCU) of UK is using an advanced technology to identify the national priorities for wildlife crime enforcement in the UK.

The 15 strong unit, including police, HM Revenue and Customs, Defra and non-Governmental Organisation TRAFFIC, is using a software from i2 in order to pool police information. The unit collates information by using i2 iBase, submitted by police forces and other related agencies. and then studies the information through i2 Analyst's Notebook in order to take investigations further.
