400 Common service centres to open in Manipur, India

Around 400 Common Service Centres (CSC) would soon be functional within the next year in Manipur, India.

UC Laishram, Director Manipur Science and Technology made this announcement while addressing the 39th world telecommunication and information society day celeberations.. There would be a CSC each for 6 villages and the CSC will be operated by an interested private party. The CSC will provide e-Governance services to the people. The government is planning to set up a state data storage centre with backup facility. The data storage centre would be connected with the districts and sub-district centres.
