i4d contains articles and features on ICT for development and related issues. Authors are requested to follow the following guidelines while sending their articles to the i4d.

Research Articles/Features:
Manuscripts reporting significant original research should be between 1500-2000 words. (Longer articles will be considered only in exceptional cases.)
It must contain an abstract of the article of maximum 200 words.


Book/ website reviews:
The word limit for reviews of book/website is 1000.
Mention the title, name of the author(s), name of the publisher, year of publication, price and number of pages and also send the cover photograph of the book concerned in hard copy or in TIFF format with at least 300 dpi.
The books on i4d related themes, published from year 2002 onwards, are preferable.
In case of website, provide the URL.


Reports or Notes on conference/workshop/seminar(s):
Reports or notes on conferences, workshops and seminars on ICT or related fields must be 800 words in length.
Mention the theme, venue, date, and name of the organizer(s).
The reports or notes must contain relevant photographs of the events covered.
The conference held in the past two months of the forthcoming issue will be preferred.
Provide the URL of the organiser’s website or a link to the papers.



Letters to the editors:
Responses to previously published articles may be sent to the editor by post or via email to info@i4donline.net.
Please restrict your responses to 100-500 words.
Provide your contact details.
Letters may be edited.

When you are contributing, please keep in mind the following points:
Submission of the manuscripts: All manuscripts are to be submitted directly to the Editor, i4d, preferably by email at info@i4donline.net as an attachment, prepared as a Word file, or by posting CD-ROM with two hard copies in A4 size paper to the address given below.
The texts: The texts must be typed in ‘Times New Roman’, 12 font size, at double space. Use standard Oxford English Dictionary spellings (use ‘s’ instead of ‘z’).
Relevant images/photographs: Relevant images/photographs must be scanned at 300dpi at a minimum width of 4 inches and those must be sent in TIFF format. Hard copies of submitted photographs should be of high quality in a recommended size of 5 inches by 7 inches. Please mention the credits and captions on the back of the hard copies.
Passport size photograph(s) of author(s): The passport size photographs in TIFF format of the author(s), taken against a light background, must be enclosed with the article. Hard copy photos are also accepted and must be enclosed with no staples or pins attached. For electronic versions, photos must be numbered, dated and duly credited and captioned.
Details about the author(s): Manuscript must contain a separate coversheet with the name(s) of the author(s), contact information of him/her/them including email, telephone numbers and brief biodata.

The Editor reserves the right to reject, edit and adjust articles in order to conform to the magazine's format. No remuneration is paid or charges levied for contributions.
