Telecentre.org Session-telecentre 2.0: Mapping the Future of the Telecentre Movement
The objective of this session is to conceptualise the next steps and the kind of operational, procedural and functional steps to the next stage in the evolution of the telecentre networks. The session will be moderated and facilitated by senior officials of the telecentre.org, the premier agency working at the international level to promote cooperation among multiple stakeholders and helping coalesce efforts for networking and capacity building. Very specifically, building online community spaces and training, through local leadership, TC.org aims to provide appropriate online tools, and offline mechanisms to promote such learning.

The format of the session is a highly interactive visioning session that invites Asia Telecentre Forum to ask the questions like: What's next for telecentres in Asia? What trends and programs are emerging? What partnerships need to happen from here? The aim is to bring the wisdom from this conference forward in our day-to-day telecentre work and also to provide ideas for the telecentre 2.0 flagship initiative that is emerging under the UN Global Alliance for ICTs and Development.

The moderator will help to see the vision presented in the first plenary session and embellished by the experiences and challenges posed are collated for defining the next steps.
