Paper presentations from Nepal, Pakistan and India are expected to provide insights on policy issues on telecentres. Community Radio as a key component for reaching the massive unlettered communities in rural areas and to provide a far wider outreach is one such issue. Use of Free and Open Source Software/ Open standards, addressing poverty issues, promoting women’s entrepreneurship in rural areas, etc. are some of the policy issues that are likely to be reiterated from these presentations.
The session will be moderated, and open for discussions after a 10 minutes oral presentation from the authors of papers submitted.
